Bookmark with moonlit meadows and sheep. This lovely bookmark is made from layers of different fabric. The bookmark depicts pastures and fields, under a moonlit night sky. I've used a dark blue and ivory abstract fabric for the sky. The moon is made from ivory fabric, and outlined with circles of free-motion embroidery. The meadows are made from textured fabrics in shades of zesty green and plum purple. I've added zesty green and plum purple trees, and a flock of tiny hand-embroidered sheep. In the foreground, I've used free-motion embroidery in pale green thread to add some grasses and seed heads. The bookmark is backed with pale grey fabric with a darker grey abstract swirled pattern. The bookmark has been stiffened with an inner layer of interfacing, and the edges have been finished with plum purple zig-zag stitching. This lovely bookmark is a piece of original but affordable textile art. It would make an ideal gift for anyone who loves reading, and loves the British countryside.
