It is fired up to 1260c (2300F) and has a smooth delicate look. Handle it with the same care you would use for all jewellery. It is easy to clean with a toothbrush or damp cloth it will last for many years if carefully looked after. Each piece of porcelain jewellery is individually handmade & after the first firing it is smoothed and refined by sanding. It is then glazed and fired again to a top temperature of 1260c in an electric kiln. To keep your tie pin in prime condition, the following tips are recommended: Remove tie pin before washing / dry cleaning Avoid contact with water, cologne & chemicals The gift box contains a silver storage strip with anti-tarnish protection (keep out of the reach of children)
