This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique. A design from 2014 and I've made lots since that first one. A cross with a patchwork design in a mix of Turquoise and Teal colours which I find is a lovely combination of shades. The cross is 9.5 x 15 cm. I have cut the individual pieces from blue, teal and turquoise shades of glass, using a mixture of 17 different textures and shades. I've then fitted them together like a patchwork. The outer edge is framed with twisted wire for strength and neatness. It looks wonderful hanging in the window, catching the sun. It is a simple cross shape but the patchwork arrangement of colours is classic stained glass design. A silver coloured little chain is securely attached to the top of the cross at both sides to allow it to hang straight. This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
