About this item
An unusual gift for the motor enthusiast, a key ring made from an old spark plug. I have machined a short piece of 10mm diameter aluminium rod to screw onto the spark plug and cross drilled it to accept a split key ring. After assembly with Loctite, they have then been cleaned and polished to a nice shine. I have made several of these and the brand and type of spark plug may vary. I’m always trying to think of new ways of using old parts that are destined for the scrap, this idea came to me when I saw spark plugs made into bottle openers – I used to keep a bottle opener on my key ring!
