This print is a one of a pair of big cat prints. The other print also available on Folksy is a tiger. I like to collect leaves and other textured items to create my collagraph. I save them and keep them stored for when inspiration strikes. The leopard is sitting on broken up dried leaves which i have stuck firmly down onto my printing plate. This gives lots of wonderful textures. Once you roll your design under a printing press it picks up every little bit of texture from the leaves. I find it really magical that things that I haven’t really noticed on a printing plate are visible once it has been printed.
