This is a new tartan addition to my very popular tartan ruffle brooch range.
This cute little 'Bruce Ancient tartan brooch pin is ready made and can be posted straight away.
It is mid red with darkish emerald and a fine yellow and white stripe
It is great for a touch of tartan for a hat or onto a wedding dress or costume, or simply as a gift.
Made with a handmade and sewn ruffle of Bruce Ancient tartan ribbon with wide ribbon shaped trails and finished with a bronze tone Celtic Knot metal button with a bottle green pearl in the centre.
Other finishes available on a separate listing.
Finished with a small circle of red felt with a small roll bar brooch pin attached.
Size approx- 6.5 cm wide x 11.5 cm long
Also available to order in a wide range of tartans and coloured beads/ finishes.
Brooch Pin - Nickel plated brooch back, with a swivel mechanism to securely close the pin.

Bruce Ancient Tartan -
The Bruce tartan first appeared in the Vestiarium Scoticum, it was claimed to be of ancient origin but this has never been proven. However, it is still nearly 200 years old.
The term 'modern' refers to the dye shades, usually darker.
The term 'ancient' refers to the dye shades, usually lighter.
