I've textured lengths of recycled sterling silver with a hammer, then curled them to resemble the scrolls of birch bark that drop from the beautiful multi-stemmed silver birch tree in our garden. Each pendant is made up of two scrolls, which hang separately so they can move around on the chain. No two scrolls are the same, so every one of these pendants that I make is different to the next (yours may therefore vary slightly to those shown in the pictures). They make beautiful gifts nature lovers, gardeners and those who enjoy wearing contemporary jewellery. The silver is 100% recycled scrap silver from a reputable supplier, which has been recovered from the jewellery trade and IT and medical sectors. It therefore avoids the unnecessary negative environmental impact mining for new silver. It is fully traceable and exactly the same quality and purity as unrecycled sterling silver.
