About this item
years ago my mum gave me a eucalyptus tree sapling, which I planted and it grew quickly into a mature tree. which unfortunately blew down in 2012, so after it was logged in August 2016 a decided to make a clock out of it. My youngest daughter loved it and hung it in her room for years. Now she has moved out I am offering it to a new owner...(it is hanging on my shed gathering dust as it tells the time ATM)

I was looking at chip carving at the time, so really enjoyed carving the butterfly shapes, which came from a stencil pack. then a touch of acrylic paing... The grain of the wood is stunning...I just love the shakes and cracks, the small holes...mother nature at her best note, it hangs slightly off centre, due to the shape of the tree trunk and the hook ( as usually happens, you have to follow the wood grain)
