About this item
A lovely warm pixie hood or hat which has been hand knitted. The yarn used to create this pixie hood is a soft acrylic yarn. It uses two strands of yarn a dark brown and a very light or fawn brown worked together as one strand to create the mottled effect and to add extra warmth. There are two knitted ties to tie the hood up under the chin, or they can be left to hang down freely. Washing Instructions the hood may be machine washed up to 40degrees. Lay flat to dry. Aproximate size 9inches (2.3cm) wide by 10.5inches (24cm) long.

A friend asked if I could make a pixie hood like the ones her mother made her as a little girl. So I got out my yarn and knitting needles and a sheet of paper and hay presto a soon had a pixie hood. I then wanted to lift the colour slightly so I used two different shades of brown and it created this mottled affect.
