Harris Tweed is what is says on the tin (or label) and is defined by law as having been "handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides".
Harris Tweed is more than a fabric, it is a way of life, a means for islanders to support themselves in a fragile economy and a connection to generations past, present and future.

This lovely wee pin cushion is made from Harris Tweed in mid blue and navy. It is embellished with a cream ribbon and has the essential Harris Tweed Orb label on the other side, so you can decide which way is up!
A great gift for a sewing (or not so sewing!) friend or just simply as a wee treat for yourself; because you simply can't have too many pin cushions!
