Hello,
My name is Kate and I'm an Illustrator and children's book maker from Nottingham.
I create printed products such as children's books, zines, prints, cards, badges and notebooks. All of my products are printed either by myself or a small business in the UK. I'm working towards having more environmentally friendly packaging (just as soon as I've used up all of the old stuff because I don't want to create unnecessary waste).
I am passionate about storytelling and that's why I love children's book illustration. I wrote and illustrated an award winning children's book called 'Lions Hate Pigeons'. This story follows two stone statue lions in Nottingham's market square and their journey to get their own back on the pesky pigeons. This book won the Young Creative Award 2020 (Graphic design).
I enjoy creating work based around animals and my hometown. I particularly love goats, they are my absolute favourite thing in the world. So expect to see some goat illustrations!
