Simon and Nicola have both found barge padlocks like this with the name of the barge owner or company stamped into the surface. They are treasured finds, not least because they offer a glimpse into the past life of the river and river people.

Full description
Sterling silver and high carat gold padlock necklace. Simon Bourne (Si-finds) commissioned this design based on the barge padlocks often found by Thames Mudlarks. The silver padlock functions as a clasp for the chain. The rivet heads covered with high carat found gold. The chain is a heavy Belcher chain custom made to your specified length. Choose from 18, 20, 22, or 24 inch via options. The padlock measures 22mm wide by 33mm tall. The padlock will be oxidised to enhance the detail and show off the gold.
