I'm drawn to nature and to being surrounded by nature where I find constant inspiration. My embroidery is always hand stitched by my hands and this practise forms the base for all my work.
I don't want to mimic nature but to use it to search and discover through stitching individual pieces that sing and show a deep love of plants, animals and birds.
I use the finest of threads, usually sourced second hand and often combine my stitching with lace and pressed dried flowers from my garden.
Based in East Sussex I work in the sunniest room in my rural home where I design and create embroidery art and handmade embroidery kits aimed at the beginner. I have a background in teaching and have a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art.

This is a beautifully stitched brooch, full of character and something that makes me smile every day. I love Liz's style and think the brooch is a true work of art. Liz has taken care to ensure this little owl in her opera cape is secure on her pin, too, and I wear the brooch with confidence.
Delivery after I placed my order was fast and the brooch was packaged very securely. Liz contacted me to let me know it was on its way and provided the tracking number.
I'm absolutely delighted with the brooch and Liz's customer service.
