"This Playing Labrador sculpture is of Rolo, who was five years old when I met him and in great shape. It's actually quite rare for me to be commissioned to do a younger dog, so it was a lovely opportunity to meet this labrador in his prime and be able to take all my own photos and videos.
Rolo had a lot of energy and I loved seeing the beautiful shape of his body as he ran around with us during the sitting. He was such a handsome dog that I was very happy to sculpt him."

The beautiful Playing Labrador bronze resin sculpture is the perfect gift for dog lovers. Available in both Bronze Resin this small dog statue sits at Height: 30 Width: 35 Depth: 14 centimetres (Height: 12 Width: 14 Depth: 6 inches) and would look simply stunning on a window sill, table or bookshelf.
Every one of our bronze dog statues are beautifully packaged with care in tissue paper and is accompanied with a certificate of authenticity. The perfect collectable for art and dog fans, your Playing Labrador statue will be shipped to you double-wrapped for extra protection. We ensure that all our packaging is recycled or recyclable wherever possible and carbon-offset with tree planting.
How it’s made: Bronze metal powder is mixed with a resin to make the Bronze Resin material, which has the appearance of Foundry Bronze metal. This process creates a material that is more affordable and lightweight.
Tanya Russell has become well known over the last 30 years for her life-like and vibrant animal sculptures, and her abstract figurative work. For Tanya her practice is not only about capturing the animals she sculpts with marks and movement. It’s about people’s relationships with those animals and their welfare. Consequently, 10% of Tanya’s sale proceeds are donated to animal rescue charities.
