I paint hares and hearts in a folk art style, branched out to do a painting of Rhiannon of the Celts with this one !

Hello , I paint original wooden 'hare hearts' and hare shapes which I decorate to chime in with the seasons.Snowdrops for January, primroses for spring, pumpkins and harvested corn for late summer etc. I live in the Lincolnshire countryside, and so there are so many lovely and inspiring things to paint. . [the hare shapes are cut to my design]
Mostly I work in my kitchen, but I do buzz about on our local trains between home and Lincoln or sometimes Peterborough, I always have my sketchbook open to quickly sketch any landscapes which catch my eye, and which I can incorporate into my hare hearts.
I also make caricatures for special occasions, 'big' birthdays, anniversaries, retirements etc. to commission and have a great deal of fun doing them.
Pencil or acrylic portraits of people, pets or houses classic cars are another speciality and I can occasionally be persuaded to do quick pencil portraits on the spot for craft fairs birthdays too.
I have drawn portraits since I was about 12 years old, my Grandad was an artist too .
I have a little tabby cat George, who likes exploring solar panels on bungalow roofs when he is not decimating the local wildlife. [tiny fiend] but he is very affectionate to his 'mum' Here's a fun cartoon print for the man in your life ,'' the Pheasants revenge'' my sister who was a great cake maker, made a cake for the 40th birthday of a gamekeeper. [she doesn't approve of shooting pheasants for fun.though ] I painted four watercolour strips of cartoon as a cake frieze which he was able to frame afterwards, and then I made a print of this particular one'cos it's fun.
as you can see I can turn my hand to most ''arty'' things ! she once got me to make a fit together water colour painted model of Liverpools Liver building so that she could pop that on a Liverpudlians birthday cake with a whisky miniature inside it ! have you any idea how many windows there are to draw in that building I asked her... '' a lot ?'' she grinned yup
