I hope I have made easier for you to enjoy making your own Candles.

Not the most 'romantic' picture of the candles makers environment, it the part of the garage that is my small workspace. Several years ago, I discovered candle making when looking to set-up a social enterprise working with disadvantaged young people trying to enter mainstream employment.
Unfortunately, the project did not 'take-off' but decided it would be a hobby for my retirement.
For teaching purposes, I needed to breakdown the making of candles into 'bite-size' bits and through trial and error came to point where I had deconstructed (de-mystified) the process to the point where an individual, with clear instructions, could make their own candles.
I now give candle making demonstrations to local community groups, run group workshops and, a live online workshop in basic Beeswax making.
