Firstly a little note about hallmarking. I always use the same reputable UK supplier to source my silver. All work in sterling silver weighing over 7.78 grams will be hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office. Work under this exemption weight will, if not hallmarked, and if practical, bare my makers mark LRH and .925 (.925 to represent sterling silver). My official hallmark, registered at Sheffield Assay Office bares my initials LRW ('W' represents my maiden name, Wolstenholme).
ABOUT ME
***************
Based in East Yorkshire, I create jewellery and also little metal craft pieces including tiny boxes, bookmarks and keepsakes.
It all began in 2005 when I opted for an evening class learning how to make jewellery. I quickly found myself fascinated by the many processes involved in working with metal, not only for the purpose of creating jewellery but also other small metal craft objects.
Through my college course, I studied part-time for a degree, gaining a first class honors in Three Dimensional Design Crafts (Jewellery).
Much of my inspiration comes from British wildlife, nature and the sea and also looking into our past, from the neolithic period through to medieval art. Mythology, folklore, ancient landscapes, standing stones and the mystery that still surrounds how some of our ancient ancestors lived. I'm also a little obsessed with vikings! I am drawn to metal that has a patina, looks aged and weathered, a little rustic in appearance which often reflects in my pieces. Beautiful gemstones often enhance my work, sourced from my very trusted suppliers.

Superb jewellery. Individual designs and exemplary service with a personal touch on delivery. I am over the moon with the pendant, so much so, that I bought another item from gallery 49 in Bridlington
