Potteries born Terry Woolliscroft works from his studio in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
He draws inspiration from the rather special landscape of the Potteries of North Staffordshire, and is influenced by local artists Maurice Wade, Jack Clarkson, Reginald Haggar, and Jiri Borsky. He also enjoys painting seascapes and still life and adapts his style depending on the subject and his artistic mood.
His work can be seen online and in local galleries. He was privileged to have a solo show at The Foxlowe Art Centre, Leek in 2018, and was selected for the Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, Burslem, in 2019.
During the pandemic lockdown of 2020 he established the Bottle Oven Art Club which established virtual exhibitions of 50 selected artworks celebrating the culture and heritage of the bottle ovens and kilns of the Potteries.
