I BijouRocks am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to my shop.
When you place an order from me, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address from Folksy. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order. If you send me a message using the contact button on Folksy, I will receive your username and email address.
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
• With Folksy to comply with my obligations.
• With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
• To comply with legal or tax obligations.
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years. After this time I will delete your data from my records.
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.

Many of my gemstones are the results of my own efforts at the cutting wheel. Others are by my fellow lapidaries, or were found on ‘gem tourism’ travels, when I cannot help but acquire more… This is my passion and hobby, I am a Fellow (FGA) and tutor of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A), and a member of The U.K. Facet Cutters Guild. Oh, and I am a veterinary surgeon too, that’s my amazing day job.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
SHIPPING: Within the U.K. shipping costs are £7.50 for orders under £100 while orders of £100 or over are free. For International orders, shipping costs are £15.00 for orders under £200 while orders of £200 or over are free. I will endeavour to dispatch orders within 5 working days of receipt of payment. If you need an item quickly, please contact me before purchase and I will let you know the next date that I can post it.
Within the UK, orders will be sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1PM so that they are insured and can be tracked. A tracking number will be included in the email notifying you that your order has been posted.
For other parts of the world, International Tracked or International Tracked & Signed will be used, depending on the destination. The buyer is responsible for any Import Tax or customs Fees imposed.
RETURNS: If you wish to return an order, you as the buyer will be responsible for the return shipping/postage costs. Shipping within the U.K. is refundable. International shipping costs are not refundable. I highly recommend you send it insured and tracked as I will not refund items that are lost, stolen or damaged in transit. I will refund as soon as I can and in any case within within 10 days of receiving the goods provided you: - Contact me within 14 days of delivery to inform me you wish to return the item and ship the item(s) back within 28 days of delivery. - The item is returned in its original condition with its packaging, and has not been altered or damaged in any way.
INTERNATIONAL RETURNS: In addition, when returning an item from overseas, please take care to correctly mark the goods as a 'Returned Item' on any customs declaration form. This will ensure that no additional customs fees are incurred. If the package item is incorrectly marked and a customs fee is payable, this will be passed onto the customer. If your item is found to be damaged when you receive it, please notify me within three days of receipt.
ORDER CANCELLATION If you wish to cancel an order before it has been posted, please contact me immediately and if it has not been dispatched, it shall be done.
ITEMS NOT RECEIVED but tracked as being delivered - Please note that I do not refund or replace items that are tracked as being delivered. Please ensure pieces are delivered to your own house or an address where you are aware of who the the person responsible for signing for parcels is. I cannot accept responsibility for another person signing for your parcel.
