I love walking on the beach with my husband Martin and our elderly Jack Russel Gilbert. We visit all year round and there is beauty in every visit rain or shine, fog or even snow. I take lots (and LOTS) of pictures and they, along with my memories provide my inspiration for my work.

Handmade, unique and ethically produced fabric picture showing an imaginary Cornish beach on a bright yet overcast day.
The sky is a light grey with clouds blowing across and sparkling waves running up to a sparkling sandy beach.
This is an unglazed picture in a narrow, grey frame. The picture uses a mixture of textiles, including sari material, beads, lace and ribbon. I use different sewing techniques, choosing to hand sew and machine sew using a variety of different threads to create my images which are inspired by Cornwall where I live.
I recycle frames and fabrics and endeavour to work in a sustainable manner to prevent materials going to landfill. There may be slight marks on the frames as they are not brand new.
