In Cornwall, there are numerous remains of the tin mining industry which was such an important part of the county's history. I often walk by them and see them regularly when travelling around so wanted to try my hand at producing one in fabric.

Full description
Handmade, unique and ethically produced fabric picture showing a bright representation of a Cornish Engine House on the top of a cliff with the sea behind and a blue sky with the sun shining brightly over head and a cluster of yellow gorse and purple heather flowers surrounding it.
This is a small glazed picture in a light wood effect frame, The picture uses a mixture of textiles and coloured threads. I use different sewing techniques, choosing to hand sew and machine sew to create my images which are inspired by Cornwall where I live.
I recycle frames and fabrics and endeavour to work in a sustainable manner to prevent materials going to landfill. There may be slight marks on the frames as they are not brand new.

Picture can be wall mounted or stood on a hard surface.
