I had been learning how to paint with pastels for a while and wanted to do an original painting of my own. What better one to choose than to commemorate a place where my wife and I had enjoyed a wonderful holiday?

Full description
This was one of the first original paintings I attempted after learning the techniques of pastel pencil using the tutorials of Colin Bradley. It was based on a photograph I had taken of the popular scenic village of Godshill while on holiday on the Isle of Wight in 2009. The original painting was also the first one I ever sold, back in 2011, so it is now only available as a Giclee print.
