Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.

It was a cold winters night in the rain, when I got on my bike to go to a remnants sale in a fabulous fabric shop in York. This little piece of Designers Guild material was one of the amazing pieces I found that night.

Full description
This zip up make up or storage bag is made from a dramatic designer fabric remnant. The print, on a linen mix material, is in a strong, abstract pattern, yet gives the feeling of figured velvet or something sumptuous. These little bags are always useful for storage, make up or toiletries, and this one will also make an impact hanging up on a wall by its hook! It would make a great present for a budding artist or as a going to Uni present.
The fabric has been backed with canvas to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag.
The width is 23 cm and the height is 16 cm with a 23 cm maroon zip opening.
The base is boxed at each end to give a little more room. It is lined with old skool ticking, and there is a splash proof interlining hidden behind the lining.
There is a hook for twirling around your finger, or to hang up as a little piece of art work in its own right, and it is finished with my own embroidered name tag.
Please hand wash very gently in cool water, and drip dry out on the washing line. Please do NOT tumble dry or iron!
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
