I bought this lovely hand block printed tablecloth from a lady at the York car boot who was selling off her vintage textiles. Although it was damaged, these elephants it came to life with a wash and I was still able to make a number of practical little bags with what remained.

Full description
This practical toiletries or make up bag is upcycled from a charming vintage Indian elephants fabric. There is a lovely handmade quality to the printing, with its bold green and blue colours, and childlike elephants. Perfect for taking on trips away, it will carry passports phones and headphones, as well as toiletries and cosmetics.
A great going away to Uni present, as a Fathers day gift, or for anyone going on their own safari.
The fabric is stitched onto canvas to give it some strength, but it is still a soft little bag.
It is 20 cm across the top, widening to 22 cm width at the bottom. It is 16 cm high.
There is a gold zip opening 20 cm wide.
The ends are boxed to make it a little more roomy, and all the better for stashing things in.
There is a practical finger hook to one side, or use it to hang on the wall, as a little art work in its own right!
It is lined in a different section of the same fabric, and finished off with my own embroidered name label. The dyes in these fabrics are not always fixed, so please wash separately or with other dark colours in cool water, and leave to dry naturally.
