Full description
This pretty bucket bag or handbag is repurposed from a piece of colourful floral vintage embroidery. Once a lovely tablecloth, its fine dining was at an end! Fortunately, there was enough quality material to make a set of little bucket bags. The front has a bloom of flowers at the base, and a tiny bluebird towards the top. Its neat size is just large enough to hold your essentials at a wedding or summer party, and it closes with a magnetic snap on the inside. I think of it as having an additional pocket, but with its own handles! Unashamedly nostalgic, this little bag would make a great present for a lover of vintage.
The linen has been stitched onto canvas to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag. It has a pair of handles, each 30 cm long to fit snuggly around your hands.
It measures about 24 cm by 24 cm with boxed in ends to make it a little more roomy.
The back is made from a cream and white embroidered tablecloth, with a scattering of tiny buttons. It is lined with a vintage floral fabric and is finished off inside with an embroidered facing for a neat finish.
The bag fastens with a magnetic clasp, and is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please hand wash or use a short delicate machine wash, and leave to dry naturally.
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out in clean, recycled wrapping and posted out as Royal Mail 2nd class.
