This huge cloth with its machine embroidered Folk style flowers, was another fantastic car boot find. Even though it had seen better days, there were enough pretty sections to make a set of padded bags. The matching bags are also in my Folksy shop right now.

Full description
This little padded bucket bag was once a huge throw, machine embroidered in a Folk art style. A bit too faded to use, there were still sections bright enough for a set of padded bags including this little bucket bag. I love its geometric flower patterns with their Folk Art style. The two stitched handles are long enough to fit snuggly around your hands, and although it is dinky, it is just large enough to hold your essentials at a party or wedding. It has a decorative covered button and loop fastening, as well as a magnetic snap on the inside facing. It is like I have given you a pocket, but with its own handles! A bright little Springtime handbag, perfect as a Mothers Day present.
The cotton has been stitched onto canvas to strengthen it, and lightly padded to give it some body, but it is still a soft little bag. It has a pair of handles, each 30 cm long.
It measures about 24 cm by 24 cm with boxed in ends to make it a little more roomy.
It is lined with a striped cotton, and is finished off inside with an embroidered facing for a neat finish.
It fastens with a magnetic clasp, as well as with a decorative covered button and loop closure. It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please hand wash or and leave to dry naturally.
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out in clean, recycled wrapping from my hoard, and posted out as Royal Mail 2nd class.
