A dish such as this will take at least 5+ hours with all the various stages: preparation of the clay; rolling of the slab; creating the shape; impressing the lace pattern; bisque firing; glazing; and second firing. In addition to the costs of labour there are those of the clay, the glazes and the two kiln firings.
