Having already made a kitchen clock from this lid’s saucepan, the lid has become another clock more suited to other rooms in the home.

Full description
An attractive compact wall clock with real minimalist style and combining steampunk with country cottage and farmhouse looks. I made it with a new quartz ‘sweep’ clock movement fitted to a vintage copper saucepan lid. After removing the Bakelite handle, I opened out the hole to fit the mechanism and polished the copper to a nice shine but retaining some of the patina and dents as evidence of a long working life! The sweep mechanism is almost silent, with no ticking and there is a bracket on the movement to hang the assembly on your wall to give any room a dual country cottage and steampunk vibe.
