As a music lover and musician who grow up in the 70s and 80s I remember using these types of tapes quite often. Nowadays however, as this format is very much outdated and rather than seeing these in the landfill I decided to give them a second chance and a new purpose in life as a useful clock.
They may not sound amazing anymore but they will look great on your wall.

SANYO Reel-to Reel Wall Clock
This unusual clock has been made from an upcycled 7 inch tape reel from a 1970s reel-to-reel tape recorder. The reel has been fitted with a quartz clockwork with a quiet sweeping action.
A proper piece of vintage audio kit, this unique looking clock makes a perfect gift for music lovers, retro tech fans and anyone who appreciates vintage hi-fi or just needs a wall clock.
