These embossed glass screw top preserve jars cried out to me to be made into lamps, some old water pipe and wall lamps provided some nice copper and brass with which to hold them up and an old scaffold board makes a stable base.

Built almost entirely (apart from all brand-new electrical parts) from upcycled materials, this decorative twin jar lamp will light your space gently, attract attention and start many conversations
The two 3-Watt LED bulbs are housed in a pair of modern ‘Eerin Mason’ jars supported by a piece of used copper pipe and a few brass parts salvaged from some 1970s wall lamps, including two dummy gas taps, tied together with a couple of custom brass parts I turned up on the lathe.
It is all based on a piece of salvaged scaffold plank which I have sanded down and treated with oil for a lovely satin finish. Integrated into the base is a toggle switch which operates with a satisfying clunk.
The lamp is finished off with 6 feet/1.8 metres of luxury Italian black cloth braided round flex fitted with a Black UK standard plug
