Something quirky and different to style your home, a car engine themed table lamp based on a Weber 38DGAS carburettor of the type used on the legendary 1970s Ford Essex 3.0 V6 engine. This engine was fitted to many of Ford’s top of the range UK cars, Zephyr/Zodiac, Granada and, every young lad’s dream back in the day, the 3 litre Capri. I have cleaned the carb and mounted it to a French polished wooden base on 4 aluminium legs so the butterflies can be seen moving underneath when the throttle is activated. 4 more aluminium legs hold a period aftermarket chrome high-flow air filter housing 150mm above the carb. The filter housing contains a nickel-plated SES lampholder with a 4-Watt LED bulb. Power is supplied through 2 metres of black fabric braided flex fitted with a black 3-amp fused UK plug. The lamp is operated by a toggle switch built into the wooden base. As always from Steampunk Creative Engineering, all electrical components are brand new and the unit is safety tested and certified UKCA compliant.
