I found this piece of glass on a walk at Appledore, I don't often go there and it's not the sort of beach I would expect to find sea glass in abundance, but apparently there's an old rubbish dump near the sea and stuff often appears there, I was lucky to find this lovely piece. I took a while to decide to use it, but the beaded belt I found on a local market seemed an ideal thing to hang it from, I've used the rest for other pieces, cut it apart and resew the edges.

Full description
A pendant made with a piece of art deco style, pale pink sea glass, the glass has sharp ridges moulded into it, which fan out like rays of sunlight from right to left as you look at it. I found this piece on the beach at Appledore, it's larger than I usually use but the art deco pattern caught my eye.
The glass has a beaded mount around it using vintage and modern beads in shades of pink, blue, lilac and rainbow effect.
The edge of the pendant is finished with short strands of beads, each strand ending in alternating vintage crystal bicones, clear glass drop beads and translucent turquoise dagger beads, the strands a increase in length from right to left giving an offset appearance and echoing the raised pattern on the glass.
The pendant hangs by six loops of pale turquoise beads from a purple spiral beaded necklace which is recycled from a beaded belt bought in a junk market. The fastener is a loop of beads from the belt and a large, purple heart shaped bead.
This is quite a statement piece and very summery in it's pastel colours and overall feel.
The pendant is backed with white, fine leather.
