I was given this pretty table cloth by someone who wanted it to be reused. It turns out the corner embroideries are the perfect size for lavender bags, and now they have a new life.

Full description
This pretty vintage tablecloth had seen better days, but its 4 corners of embroidered flowers were all still intact, just enough to create a set of little lavender bags. I have filled them with dried lavender from Terrington village in North Yorkshire. Pop your lavender over a clothes hanger or in a drawer to keep your clothes smelling sweet and free from moths. Or, slip it under your pillow for a healthy nights sleep. It would make a nice present for someone learning to embroider, for a bride wanting pretty storage for a wedding dress, or as a tiny practical present for a friend which you can pop in the post.
The bag measures 11 cm by 11 cm and nestling inside it is a muslin bag of dried Yorkshire lavender.
There is a hook for popping over a clothes hanger, or to hang it up like a tiny piece of embroidery craftwork in its own right.
The front is made from a fragment of vintage tablecloth with the back in a different section of the same cloth. It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out in clean recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
