Love this

Tote or book bag made from a vintage furnishing fabric with boys playing.
Peer into the pastoral world of 18th century children at play who adorn the front of this sturdy little bag. Made from a classic piece of 1980’s GP and J Baker vintage furnishing fabric, it has scenes of boys pea shooting and shuttle cocking to the front, and playing marbles and flying a kite to the back.
This simple unlined bag still packs a punch. It is made with strong French seams, and has a small internal pocket, so you will always know where your keys are.

It measures 34cm wide
It measures 40cm long
The inside pocket is 12cm by 12cm. It is edged with bias binding, and has my own embroidered name tag stitched on the front.
There is a facing inside around the top edge to give it some body, and a neat finish.
There are two shoulder straps each measuring 65 cm long to fit snuggly over your shoulder, but short enough to use as a handheld bag if you prefer.
The bag will roll up tightly to fit into its own little wallet measuring 14cm by 18cm, and will nestle neatly inside your handbag.
This bag can be hand washed, or put on a cool, short machine wash, and ironed when it is oh so slightly damp.
I like to reuse where possible. Your tote bag will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging.
It will be posted out as Royal Mail 2nd class with certificate of posting, which takes about 3 working days.

It was a friend who gave me this lovely fabric with a classic 1980’s design feel to it. I love the way it harps back to the 18th century and has been given the feel of a much older toile design with its idyllic pastoral scene of children at play.
