The inspiration for this one was easy. Whenever I used to take my mom out for a drive, she always loved to travel down a tree-lined country lane, especially on a sunny day. She would always sing a line or two from the old Flanagan and Allen song "Underneath the Arches", hence the title of the piece. Sadly, mom passed away in 2025 and this piece was done in her memory.

Full description
This painting is of a tree-lined country lane emerging from the shadow into bright sunlight as it disappears into the distance. It was painted on Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper using. pastel pencils. It is approximately A4 size, with a green mounting.
