Green Aventurine is a type of semi translucent chalcedony quartz that has a beautiful shimmer called ‘aventurescence’. It is a relatively hard rock at 6.5 - 7 on the Mohs scale and due to its hardness was used in the stone age when flint was unavailable to make tools. Green aventurine is said to be an excellent gemstone to wear for those with leadership roles as it helps to improve negotiation skills and balance emotions. It is also said to protect the wearer against environmental pollution and bring about good fortune and positive opportunities. It is also known as ‘the luckiest crystal’.
Bronzite contains ‘chatoyancy’ also known as the ‘cat’s eye effect’ meaning light reflects outward from hollow fibrous tubes within the structure of the crystal. Bronzite can be found in many continents worldwide, including England. When polished it has a beautiful metallic lustre with golden flecks. It has metaphysical associations with the birth sign of Leo due to its energetic properties.

A beautiful smooth Green Aventurine Trapezoid Cabochon is the centre piece of this elegant necklace made for serious gemstone lovers. The Trapezoid is a substantial size at 2.3cmx2cmx5mm which makes an immediate impact on the eye. The collection body of gemstones sits centrally over the decolite and hangs forward with approximately 9cm of silver-plated curb chain each side of the neckline and drops approximately 8.5cm down from the throat. The composition is mirror imaged left and right which starts with 3 oval green Aventurine Beads 12mmx8mm, followed by 5 bright Red Quartzite Round 8mm Beads, then 5 Bronzite Round 8mm Beads, finishing with 1 green Aventurine Round Bead 4mm that sits aside the Cabochon. The necklace is finished with a decorative silver-plated ribbed Toggle Clasp and Bar which puts the finishing touch of luxury on this enchanting piece. Ideal for any season, it can be worn normally against the skin or over e.g. a fine polo neck.
