I love tulips. They signify the onset of Spring, longer days and warmer weather. The colourful background was a bit of an experiment that seems to have worked quite well.

Tulips set in a colourful abstract background
A hand made stained glass suncatcher with 3 red tulips set in a colourful abstract background. All pieces of glass are cut by hand and edges ground to ensure a good fit and to allow copper foil to adhere to the glass. The pieces are then soldered together by hand. I have applied a black patina to the solder to give the appearance of leading.
I’ve added 2 small hooks and invisible thread for hanging
One of the amber pieces of glass has a small defect that I did not notice until I started soldering (see photos) by which time it was not possible to replace. It is only really visible close up but in view of this defect, I have listed this piece at a reduced price.
