Full description
A handmade stained glass black cat set in a dark rose pink heart frame and with textured iridescent clear glass between the pink frame and cat.
I used the tiffany method in which pieces of glass are cut by hand and edges ground to ensure a good fit and to allow copper foil to adhere to the glass. The pieces are then soldered together by hand. I’ve applied a black patina to the solder to give the appearance of leading.
As a cat owner, I particularly enjoy making stained glass cats in different situations, poses, and colours. I thought of this making this piece after designing a tattoo for myself of a cat and heart (and also a bicycle – not featured in this stained glass piece!!!)
There is a small hook with 'invisible' nylon thread for hanging.
