Full description
An early 1960s Philips brand Infraphil KL7500 infra-red heat lamp in excellent original condition, though with a few age-related marks, upcycled into a stunning remote controlled, dimmable, colour changing table lamp. A mid-century design classic by Charlotte Perriand, the Infraphil lamps were marketed when new for a warming and therapeutic effect on muscles and joints.
I have removed the original 150-watt infra-red lightbulb and its proprietary holder and replaced them with a new ES (E27) lampholder and new LED bulb and a diffuser cover. I have also replaced the flex and plug (as they would not come up to modern standards for the electrical safety test) with new and given the lamp a thorough clean and check for safety, especially the safety earthing for the aluminium shell.
The remote can be used to set a steady colour (choice of 16 including warm white) or to cycle between colour in 4 modes and can dim the lamp.
Features:
9“/23cm tall
10“/25cm wide
8“/20cm deep
230v ac mains operation
9W LED remote control colour changing bulb
Dimmable by remote
2.5 metres of new white 3 core flex
White plug with correct 3A fuse
Fully safety earthed
Safety tested and certified UKCA compliant
Decorative and functional lamp
Complete, tested and ready for prompt dispatch
