Full description
Your go-to vase to show off informal flowers, buds and foliage! I handmade the piece, which I call Zoe, from black stoneware clay and decorated with a wide central band of pale blue and incised seedhead motifs. The band of decoration is bordered above and below by pale blue hand painted stitch effect. I like to leave the outside of my pieces unglazed to show off the natural matt clay texture, and I finish the interior in an iron lustre high gloss fired glaze to hold water for your arrangement. The interior fires to varying shades of brown, blues and russet so the inside with its glossy finish is a contrast to the outside. The shape has a squared-off flared rim, and the vase is 12.5 cms high. Zoe would fit in with country style or minimalist décor, and is an original design inspired by 1950s textiles.
