I used to draw rapid zig zags on Christmas cards years ago, this is my attempt to recreate that abstract Christmas tree in silver. Maybe it doesn't look too much like a Christmas tree but I still think it's quite attractive. The spread of melted silver takes on a texture, which gives a nice sparkle to the surface.

Full description
A disc of copper with a zig zag line of silver wire fused to it. You could maybe see a Christmas tree in that shape, or just a nice silver line. The disc is domed slightly after fusing and then polished and slightly re-heated to give a coloured patina. Further polishing brings out the silver and a fine coating of microcrystalline wax is applied, to preserve the colours and polish.
The disc is 29cm across and suspended from a fine, natural leather thong by a copper jump ring.
