This landscape piece is inspired by local sheep fields, surrounded by old woodlands and popular paths in the nearby area, supporting a variety of animals, bird life and Historical Heritage.
Through out the year the colours and textures evolve with the changing seasons.
This low relief, ceramic landscape is ready to hang, bringing a bit of nature into your home.

This Ceramic, low relief landscape, has been created by applying layers of coloured slip, which must go on while the clay is still wet.
When leather hard, the image is then built up by scratching, stamping and pressing through the top surface to the clay underneath.
After a first firing, the landscapes are then worked into with various oxides and coloured under glazes, to create moody, cloudy skies, grasses, trees and skylines.
the near completed picture is then dipped into a clear glaze, before a second kiln firing, giving the finished art work a glossy finish.
This ceramic landscape is 5 cm square and approx 8 mm thick, mounted onto a block made from up cycled wood, painted and varnished for protection.
This wall art is ready to immediately hang on the wall and is fully signed on he front and reverse.
