Full description
A needle felted slice of Black Forest Gateau cake by Lily Lily Handmade. This patisserie style slice of chocolate gateau is ideal for use as pretty decor for the home, kitchen or office, as wedding favours, as pretty photography props or as a pin cushion for crafters. Felt cakes looks lovely displayed on a plate or with a number of other cakes on an elegant cake stand or tray (see photo for example).
Needle felting is the art of creating sculptures using wool fibre and a barbed needle. The needle is poked into the wool fibre to agitate the fibres which then bind to form a firm shape, a process that can take hours. The colours of the cake are created by blending different wool fibres by hand to create realistic colours.
The cake slice measures approximately 5.2cm in length and 2cm wide. The cake will be supplied in a cellophane bag. The silver cake board is included.
This felt cake is a collectable, decoration or photo prop and not suitable as a toy. Other items shown in the photos are shown for illustration only (see separate listings for items also available for purchase).
