Here is another of those amazing pieces of home made embroidery, stitched so beautifully by an anonymous seamstress. Altho some of it was past repair, the four corners were still intact, and I am working my way around them all, giving them a new life.

Full description
This zip up bag is made from a beautifully embroidered piece of vintage table linen. Altho it had seen better days, the four embroidered corners were all in wonderful condition. This is one of them! There is a pretty spray of pink flowers across the front with smaller flowers along two sides, and a scattering of vintage buttons in the top corner. Pretty as well as practical, it can be used for storing make up, cosmetics or special memories. It would make a great present for a vintage fabric fan, for a friend who is learning to embroider, or for anyone needing a virtual hug.
The bag front has been backed onto cotton to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag. There are 8 buttons stitched on the front.
It measures approx 20 cm by 20 cm with a 20 cm pale blue zip opening, that pulls shut with an embroidered flower head.
The back is made from a beige linen cotton mix, and the lining is a fine striped polyester. The bottom has been boxed to make it a little more roomy.
There is a finger hook for hanging up somewhere nice to admire the handiwork, and it is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please wash on a cool short cycle, and leave to dry naturally.
I like to reuse if I can. Your bag will be packaged in clean, recycled wrapping from my hoard, and sent by royal Mail 2nd class.
