What a lovely find at a table top sale.This vintage Danish tablecloth may have seen one too many dinners, but there were enough good fragments for a series of pouches and make up bags. There is a similar pouch to this one also in my shop right now.

Full description
A great zip up pouch or make up bag, made from vintage Danish table linen. It is printed in a folk art design with a pretty couple wearing regional dress from Soro on the island of Zealand in East Denmark. On the back, is a map of part of the Danish coastline. Made from a vintage Danish tablecloth, it has a lovely washed out feel. There are some tiny white flecks on the fabric surface, which are consistent with its age and wear, (but don't let that put you off this sweet pouch!) With its happy couple on the front, it would make a great wedding or anniversary gift, or as a present for an admirer of mid century modern, Scandi or Danish design.
The bag has been stitched onto canvas to strengthen it, but it is still soft.
It measures 20 cm across and 18 cm down
There is a 20 cm bright pink zip fastening and the lining is a geometric print in hot pink.
There is a lovely couple in regional dress from Soro on the front, which makes it a perfect little wedding present.
The back is a print of a map of part of the Danish coast. and I have given it a finger hook so you can hang it up at home and admire this sweet design.
I have finished it off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please note that due to the age of this fabric, there are some tiny white specks on the dark blue print on the front.
I like to recycle. Your little bag will be posted out wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent out as Royal Mail 2nd class with proof of posting.
