This Robin is part of a whole series of Woodland inspired animals and birds that I completed at the start of this year.
Its always enjoyable to spot them and these ones are inspired by one I photographed singing very loudly near a local stretch of trees.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
For this ceramic piece, the Robin's body was made with two pinch pots then attached onto the log formed from a tube of clay, textured to give a wood like effect.
After drying, the whole piece is then fired to a stone like texture, enabling me then safely to brush, sponge and dip various coloured oxides, underglaze and glazes that highlight the form, texture and feel of the Robin.
The clay piece is then fired for a second time reaching a temperature that makes it suitable for indoors and outdoors.
The Robin has a gloss like finish, is approx 10 cm high and 10 cm wide.
