Gosh, I just love it when I find old Scandi table linen. They were so fashionable in the 60s and 70s, and just occasionally I find one poking out at a car boot or table top sale.

Full description
What a lovely graphic design. This is one of a number of bags and purses I squeezed out of this wonderful old linen teatowel. It’s so typical of Scandi design from the 1970’s with its bold simple shapes, and strong colours. It has made up into a great weekend make up bag, or as a coin purse for keys, headphones or pocket money. It would make a great present for a fan of Scandinavian design, or a lover of mid century modern textiles.
The fabric has first been stitched onto cotton to strengthen it, but it is still soft.
It measures 21 cm by 12 cm with a gold 21 cm zip opening.
The back is made from blue recycled denim, and the lining is a 1980’s Liberty yellow cotton print.
There is a hook for hanging up somewhere nice to admire the design, and it is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to reuse where posssible. Your bag will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging from my stash of old books and papers, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
