I have a large collection of vintage hand embroideries, and so often they are damaged, tea stained and threadbare. Even so, I can’t bear to throw them away. Covering buttons is my way of extending the life of these little treasures. These florals have a lovely Spring time feel.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
These two extra large metal buttons are covered in hand sewn vintage embroidery. Made from tiny fragments from an otherwise damaged embroidered tablecloth, which have been saved, and given a new lease of life.
Great for sewing onto accessories or bags as a statement decorative feature, or simply displaying as a little piece of craft work in their own right. They would make a great gift for a textile lover or as a Mothers’ Day gift.
There are two covered buttons made from metal in this pack.
Each is covered with a different section from an old hand embroidered tablecloth. The colours are washed out and faded, from pale blue to dusty pink. The nature of the stitches gives them an almost tapestry appearance.
Each button measures 4cm in diameter.

I like to reuse where possible. Your buttons will be posted out to you wrapped in clean, pretty, recycled packaging. They will be sent as Royal Mail 1st class.
