This is a unique original watercolour painting of a heron stalking along the riverbank. He is completely focussed on looking for the slightest ripple or movement that would reveal an unwary little fish or frog. With his long neck folded like a spring he is ready to dart forward to stab his great beak into the water. His stylish black and white feathers, pale pink beak and long legs are shown off against a plain yellowy-green background, a mere hint of the reeds and foliage against which he would usually be well camouflaged.
Using artist-quality paints on heavy weight paper for a high-quality professional finish, the picture is presented in an off-white / pale cream colour mount, with a backing board and protected in a clear cellophane bag. Measuring (with mount) 16” wide by 12” tall (image size 12” by 8”) - that’s approximately 40 by 30 (30 by 20) in cm - it will fit a readily-available standard-size frame.
Please note: actual colours may be slightly different from how they appear on your screen due to individual screen settings.
