This piece has been inspired by humankind, nature and Folklore tales, a common theme running through my work.
Conveying a sense of the fragile balance between and an interest in Folklore and Mythology, seen in various depictions of 'The Green Man', often connected to the rythmns of the seasons and my immediate surroundings
This Wall Pot was inspired by late Summer and the pair of Painted Lady butterflies that came into my garden each day.
Other shapes suggestive of late flowers, seeds and pollen.

Full description
This Wall Pot has been made from Stoneware clay, using a combination of hand building methods, such as hand modelling, press moulding and slab rolling.
After drying and a first kiln firing, the piece is now ready to be painted and layered with various oxides, glazes and coloured stains to create colour and enhance texture.
Melting and fusing in a second firing to a high stoneware temperature, making the work frost proof, so safe for outdoor or indoor use.
The planting pocket is more suitable for a small Succulent or Alpine, which wont need much soil, a small drainage hole cut into the base area.
Or can be used indoors as a vase for an arrangement of dried flowers.
Can be screwed into a fence/wall or hung on wire, using the two holes at the top.
Approx 17cm in height, 12cm at widest point and a depth of 8cm at the deepest point.
